BRUCE CONNELL died peacefully in the care of Rowcroft Hospice in Torquay, Devon, on Saturday May 13th after a twelve month struggle with cancer. He was creating sketches for a new commission until days before his admission and always believed that he would get back into his studio.
Bruce did not believe in using the word ‘hope’ which he saw as a rather ineffectual, passive state of mind . He preferred the word ‘trust’ and to the end he trusted that by sheer force of will he would manage to postpone the inevitable outcome by just a few more precious weeks or months.
This website will stay online as a memorial to his amazing talent and mega-watt smile with the intention that income from all future sales of his art work will be donated to Rowcroft Hospice to continue their fantastically supportive work with terminally ill people and their families. Sales have raised nearly £3000 to date.
If you would like to purchase any of Bruce's original work or prints of anything on the site please contact Carolyn Brown mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org
